Eduardo Sergei Chavez was born Tuesday, July 20th, 2004 in the sunny city of Santa Barbara, California. Nothing calmed newborn ESC’s cries as a baby like the song ‘El Za Za Za - Grupo Climax’, music has always soothed. Born of Mexican descent, the ethnic roots have been ingrained since birth. At the age of two, Eduardo migrated to Las Vegas, Nevada. Ever since then, the high-roller and grand-show life embedded within the loud city of Las Vegas began to influence the young mind.

At a young age, ESC would spend time singing and dancing to the music of Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, and Radiohead. Music-based video games, Rockband & Sing, soon began to be played all the time. Sleep began to be lost to play Rockband after hours. Influenced by the games and family, ESC received the first guitar as a birthday gift.

Family heavily influenced many values, especially music. Eduardo’s Mother pushed to develop a broad taste, an eye for elegance, and a drive to grow into the best version possible. Eduardo’s Grandmother always taught to keep going, regardless of what has happened. She also urged one to take the first leap and always give it all one has. Eduardo’s Great-Grandmother showed that the key to staying young is to live in the moment and dance. She valued the energy and love of all around her; she showed the wonder and power of a personal memory connected to a song. The instant it is replayed, one is brought back to that personal place.

With the loss of all grand and great-grandparents, Eduardo had to take what had happened and embark on an internal journey. Music always soothed, so it was only right to begin to create. The culture surrounding music captivated ESC’s eyes and ears. Artists like Mac Miller, Action Bronson, Flatbush Zombies, and N.E.R.D. heavily influenced ESC. Over the next years, a means of expression developed from making beats to making songs to being ESC. From wanting to be one of those artists, to being one of those artists.

September 2021, The release of the debut mixtape, Painter's Demo Tape, AKA P.D.T. Recorded in a closet with D-I-Y blanket soundproofing, P.D.T. was just the beginning. An early sliver of the light the star ESC is began to shine, bright!
